Rubbish Heating in the wife's Altea

Hi folks Grateful for any pointers/advice please. Our 2006 Altea 1.9TDI has been pretty poor at chucking out heat in the cabin for a couple of years now, so whilst it was in the garage having a new turbo (sigh) we thought we get them to look at that too. So the garage have now changed...

Thanks mate. Now that Matt has removed the DPF and remapped my 'old' Leon, I think I'll be doing the same to the Alfa!! Must remember to renew the warranty!!!

    Goodbye Leon, hello......Alfa 159!

Glad you're enjoying it. I did look after - I'd been hankering after one for ages and then it came along in the right colour, the Andromeda wheels, etc etc. Interesting to hear about the injector issue - they were replaced under the warranty a year or so ago. With the most recent problems I had...

    Goodbye Leon, hello......Alfa 159!

Hi folks Been a massive SEAT fan for a while now and up until May, loved my 07' Leon FR TDI. Thanks to this forum, got my injectors changed and picked up numerous other tips. But then, following a dodgy repair by the local dealer, my fuel pump gasket failed, which caused the pump to drag the...

    oil consumption fix possibility?

Thanks Deano, good advice. Certainly considering the DPF delete route provided I can be sure emissions don't start being a problem MOT wise. The Ibiza FR was good to drive, but I think because I've been in diesels for so long, it really felt like I was revving the nuts off it! Quick car though.

    oil consumption fix possibility?

Is this a Cupra problem or does it extend to the 1.4TSI FR? Am thinking of selling my Leon FR TDI due to DPF issues and don't want to end up going from one issue to another! Car I've test driven is a 59 plate FR with 37k on it. Grateful for any views.

    Engine Oil Pressure

Never had that light on. Had others but not that one! Good luck with the garage - seems too much of a coincidence to me.

    Key Fob Issues

Sorted, thanks very much. Quite tricky as I was afraid of breaking the glass. Had to pretty much destroy the surrounding plastic with a stanley blade, but an hour later managed to prise it free and the key now works perfectly. Thanks again.

    Key Fob Issues

Thanks mate, never noticed that! Looks well glued in - don't want to break it so this may take a while... Thanks again!

    Key Fob Issues

Hi folks, Wondering if anyone has had this problem. I've just bought a new remote key fob shell, as my existing one is looking a bit knackered, and have transferred over the circuit-board and the key to the new shell. The new fob now unlocks and locks the doors, like normal, but won't...

    Pirelli/continental or Goodyear DECISIONS!!!

Same here - I have Conti Sport Conti 3's and they are awesome compared to the Pirelli's. I think they wear a bit quicker on the front but that could be because I have so much more grip now and less of the traction control kicking in! Blackcircles.com had the best price that I could find.

leon 170 tdi fr cut out

Had all four injectors and wiring loom fitted today at local SEAT dealer, free of charge. I count myself lucky not to have had any of the issues that other PD170 owners have had and it shows that they are prepared to replace without there having been a failure first. Why don't I feel pleased...
