Hi Dan, I've just been hunting on eBay for the last few months. Manage to get a Cupra rear bumper for £150 and a Cupra front for £195 - bit pricey, and need a refurb, but worth it.
Hi guys, I have moved on and sold my Cupra R last year - thought I would pop back on and update any old threads - this particular issue was my gearbox - replaced it and it was perfect again.
Kev has had his company for a while and specialises in Fords rather than other cars - only recently he has been exploring other cars - mainly Seat Leon MK2 (front splitter) which is similar to the focus RS an our diffuser fins. They are only making them as the fins for now.
Wow! Now having started this thread ages ago when I first spoke to Kev at Triple R and hoping to fit some myself but I sold my LCR last October (first time I have been on since then) I think it looks awesome! Perhaps better without the mudflaps but still awesome!
Yeah Halfrauds do but for like £25!! thats what they quoted me for my car - went to that website, exact colour match (type in your reg plate) took a few days to arrive but was perfect.
Yes - I bought a can from http://www.carpaintrepair.co.uk/ and they matched my Onvi Yellow LCR perfectly! The grey cover is primed and ready to paint, make sure you have laquer too. I did about 5-6 light coats to build the colour up and to not let it run. then once dried I appplied a couple of...
How long is the piping your pushing through? remove the fuse panel and the fuse box bit on the side of the steering wheel - then just keep pushing the tubing in - i pushed well over 2m worth in before i could then see it enough to stick my hand in to grab it! it will eventually curl up enough to...
No - Virdi is right, clear the codes and go for a long drive so the ECU can throw up the correct codes, scan it again and then fix it.
I know it seems like alonger way to do it - but better safe than sorry.
Your display pic through me - thought you had a Cupra R - but you dont you just have the Cupra R bumper!
I am not sure if they will fit, do a search on the forums for TDI suspension and you should get a good result - also speak to Damian at DPM performance (sponsored link on forum homepage)...
Depends where the leak/hole is and how big it is.
I just replaced / trim a small bit of hose off mine to stop a boost leak. The hose was the one that goes from the manifold to the N249 (in my case as this is bypassed it goes straight into the top of the DV) but there was a small hole right...
Iv got H&R lowering springs (which drop it a futher 20mm then standard LCR height) ride is perfect, and stance is great. Not low enough to rub arches or scrap the sump - plus, they were like £119 and I can still go up and down most kerbs :)
see my readers ride for pics
I wouldnt be spending money until you know what it is. Get is scanned through VAGcom - plenty of people on here have it / a garage wil (but they will charge you) the EPC light can mean alot of different things and you might find your throwing money at it withouth knowing what the problem is...
haha in England... I think Bill means be a bit more specific!
Secondly, when you say fluttering you mean rather than a solid "Tschhhh" noices its going more like "tsh tsh tsh tsh" really quickly?
Could be a minor boost leak, have you done the N249 bypass? Secondly a failing N75 would...
Hi Mate - in my experience there are a few reasons as to the tsh tsh tsh tsh flutter - a small/minor boost leak in the system, the N249 playing up, N75 valve is on its way out.
A clutch slipping wouldnbt cause this at all (I know as mine was slipping for ages and then I replaced it) If I was...
It's very annoying that they have taken so long. I remember first finding Kev and Triple R Composites months ago an writing the thread "rear diffuser - I may have found the holy grail" and now I get a company car at work and am selling my LCR without ever getting the diffuser fins :(
Well it's high temp engine laquer and its got 4 coats on it. Should last longe than 9 months - but hey 9 months of them looking lush is fine by me! They look a million times better then they did!
