Whatever you're hearing isnt the same as a 'fart' in DSG though, thats caused by the fuel line being cut while the clutches switch, its the leftover fuel in the line popping in the exhaust.
I dropped my 65 Cupra off at local specialist for a MOT and brakes last year, they do a full check first. I had no prior knowledge of any issues or leaks but they said the coolant was low and they could see where it had leaked onto the undertray a bit, they found a crack in the waterpump.
Had...
Yes, swiftly moving on would be pretty high on my agenda I think.
I did similar when one of my old cars got crashed into.
Front 1/4 got hit and needed all new parts, all the airbags popped, but it was just repaired. The repairers didn't do the electrics right so it went back twice and...
Just order a Carista on Amazon, use it then send it back.
(I've not actually done this but I've used things for 2 months and boxed them back up and returned them, they don't seem to care.)
How much extra?
I've not had a service but I've had front pads and discs done at the same time, I got a quote off local Seat dealer and specialist I use, they were both about the same.
In my 280 I can get 29-30 in a pretty short distance if you are really easy on the throttle, so an easy throttle long journey is easy 30's.
The wheel hop only happens trying to floor it from standing and when its wet, if you get rolling first you're usually alright.
If you book online on Seat website its only £179 for a minor service, it does say if you're on variable service contact them.. But if they've already told you its just an oil change then that is a minor service...
After googling and messing with the drive profile on my DSG Cupra to figure out exactly what everything does, I came across quite alot of conflicting information, just thought this would be helpful to people.
The most confusing setting is the 'ENGINE' setting, you can choose between...
They seem to have gone up in value since I got it, but P/X its prob worth nowhere near. I need to swap car for car so I can't private sale then buy a car.
I got a 65 plate Alor Blue 5 door DSG with about 45k miles, sound pack and winter pack for just under £13.8k.
I wouldn't say its a hobby...
Said it only happens in Cupra mode.
The only difference in Cupra mode is harder suspension, changes diff setting, electronically changes the throttle response and activates the soundaktor.
None of that would cause a noise like that apart from the soundaktor rattling under the windscreen. But...
Yea I need to give one a good run to really make a comparison, I like the titanium bodykit ones as well which seem to be pretty rare on DSG petrols.
The one thing I really don't like about the Cupra though is the mushy half dead accelerator pedal. A pedal box is supposed to make this way better...
Its 150 engine, like 7.9 0-60 184lb/ft torque. not exactly super slow realistically.
Sorry I should have added I'd looking at around 15-16 plate one though so its like £20-30 tax.
All Seats depreciate alot, you can already pick up Cupras for 12k now, I got mine for under 14k and it...
