have a peek at my messing about thread , that might give some answers , dave at sere is best for the facia surround , you will need a connects2 adapter from the car canbus plug to the remote in on the headunit , note they are different ones for differentmm makes of head unit

sounds like the engine has gone into limp mode ? i am sure some one will correct me if i am wrong , best to get it scanned by the garage to see what has caused it
you may find you start it up & all is fine till you hit a certain part of the rev range ?

well i have taken the trim off a few times & used the SEAT method of thumping them back into place :crash: with out a problem
by looks a white band has to be loosened in a crash to set em off
but dont quote me on that

It would be good to see what the mirror looks like , did it need a canbus reprogram ?

hi been all around this one as i had a mk4 golf with a w8 light in in having had the switch apart i dont feel there is an easy way to back light the buttons & nothing else by vw/ audi seems the same size it is actually the same as in a mk6 ( i think ) polo but i dont think they did a back lit...
knowing seat if they could " forget " something they would but the airbag is in there at the top of the pillar its the white thing with writing on it !

to get the A pillar off pop out the "airbag" tag un do the T bolt & ease the trim out its held in by a couple of spring clips

Aggie the " booster " i speak of is the 12v adapter that sends 12v up the coax to the aerial , if that is working then odds on the aerial itself is water damaged so it might be worth swapping that for a new one , a seat one would be a straight swap the Fin one i have is ok but reception is not...
you should be able to check the wire on the back of the head unit plug i think the brown multiway plug , brown red (pos front right ) & brown black ( neg front right)
maybe use a multimeter or continuity tester to check to behind the speaker in the door , that way you should see where the...
some help , well a little any way i dont think the speakers are connected thru the canbus at all , just straight out the back of the HU to the doors , sounds like you have a broken wire or loose plug some where in the speaker wires

hi Matt yep simple the " airbag " rectangle " at the top of the pillar ease that out & undo the screw behind T25 i think , but dont curse me if its T20 ! then pull it off , there are 2 spring clip fixings lower down that 'thump' back when you put it back

the tweet sits lower down the A pillar as higher up it is in the way of the air bag, mounting depth is about 2 cm max , i spent as you can see from the pix earlier in the thread time working out where was best , as high up without hitting anything ...
