  1. Remote key - opening and closing windows

Bbeettaa, You most likely need to reset the window one-touch system following the battery dying. Then try the remote fob...
  2. Saftey issue - foot rest come off

Thanks, but I already put a self tapping screw in there as soon as I realised it was missing.
  3. Saftey issue - foot rest come off

My 2011 Se Tech had no screw fitted either!
  4. New Owner and Questions re 'Tramlining'

My 2011 SE used to be quite bad on the Pirelli PZeros. I've recently fitted Dunlop RTMaxx and they seem a lot better so far...
  5. Scratch in bumper

If you're doing that sort of mileage then I'd think about getting it set to longlife servicing. Unless that is, it's an early car ( pre 2011 I think!), and can't be set for it. Mine does about 18k between services and so works out at pretty close to one a year.
  6. Scratch in bumper

If the car's set for long life servicing it uses oil level and temperature sensor (known as oil quality sensor) and a number of other factors including engine rpm and road speed. To calculate when the oil has degraded and needs changing. Initially, after a service, the countdown will be set to...
  7. How to stream audio via bluetooth on this..?

I don't like to be the bringer of bad news but I don't think you can stream music with the Bluetooth. You certainly can't do it with the RNS-E Bose system.
  8. Duplicate track names on SD card

This wouldn't be your problem would it ? http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/140692-rns-e-sd-mp3-song-title-listing-problem.html
  9. Losing company car Saloon Exeo SE Tech ...replaced with Exeo ST Sport Tech :)

I found it a waste of space even when it was working. I could never get it to recognise commands reliably, and the bluetooth contact list is different to the contact list on the phone anyway!.
  10. Climate control not cooling car when idling - Exeo S

That would be my guess. 3 yrs is pretty good going without a recharge.
  11. exeo st se tech

Check which Sat Nav is fitted. Due to shortages some were fitted with a after market Pioneer system rather than the factory RNS-E system. Although in theory it was a more modern system there were some serious issues with the Pioneer system.
  12. Oil and filter change!

I'll concur with that. @baldee, My Exeo is still under warranty and Votex service it to manufacturers specs, no problems. They are all geared up for it, they stamp the service book correctly and just for good measure they stamp the invoice with 'This vehicle has been serviced to manufacturers...
  13. Oil and filter change!

If you're in South Cheshire try Votex http://www.votex.ltd.uk/ . I've used them for a few years now, both for my previous A4 and now for the Exeo. They're VAG specialists and are very reasonable.
  14. Audio upgrade advice please.

Unless you've got the colour DIS then you will suffer from this problem Audi never fitted RNSE to vehicles without the colour DIS and therefore never bothered to fix the bug.
  15. Lazy thermostat - keep an eye on yours!

IIRC on my A4 there were actually 2 separate sensors , one feeding the ECU the other the temp gauge. They were both in the same place though. It could be on the Exeo they are in different places. I can't believe that all of us have duff stats...
  16. Lazy thermostat - keep an eye on yours!

Surely it depends where in the circuit the temp sensor is ? if its in the main rad loop then it will behave as seen if the stat is working properly. My Exeo has always been like that , takes a long time to show 90 BUT the heater blows hot within a few mins so the temp in the engine/heater loop...
  17. Red brake warning light

In that case it could well be, like carls and my a4, an iffy connection to one of the brake pads.
  18. Red brake warning light

Had a similar problem with my old A4. It was a dodgy connection to the brake pad wear indicator. OR it could be pad worn , how old's the car ?
  19. Water leak front passenger footwell exeo

TBH my old A4 only ever had a problem if it was parked nose up. I've just got into the habit of making sure, on a slope, I always park nose down.:)
  20. Cam belt and water pump ??

+1 for that Not necessarily since sometimes the main dealers offer special fixed prices for cambelt changes. But with a VW specialist you know they'll do a proper job. I've used a local specialist for a few years now, both for my previous A4 and now for my Exeo. The Exeo's going nowhere near a...
