I just had a dig out and here is my jabbasport map for my old LCR... It's about as smooth as I have seen a K04 turbo. This run was with 50hp nitrous fired in progressively. Map was just S1, 260bhp/270lbft and then 313bhp/300lbft with nitrous.
This thing flew on the jabbasport map at this...
That is a truly awful map.
You will get 1 initial push in the back and that is it. Think about it, you accelerate in 2nd say, change up at 6500rpm, revs drop down to 5000rpm and then you accelerate in 3rd between 5000-6500, change up at 6500rpm and then revs drop down to 5000rpm in 4th and...
I see what you mean now, oops apologies. When viewing the smaller picture, I viewed the torque as maintaining and the power as dropping off substantially. Its not until you look at the larger scale that it becomes evident.
Look at the visual difference between the 2 power curves, forget the figures.
On nitrous, you are making peak power at 5250 and then it drops off considerably. Look at the more sustained power line off nitrous, it makes peak power at 6500. Okay, yes the car is still making a lot more power on...
Did you manage 550-600 out of that tank?
Did you take pics of your gauge and the mileage just to keep us doubters at bay?
You sure you dont have a TDI badged up as an R;)
You have done 120m and the range is still reading 420, add on the additional 30m or so that you can get past the 0 range and that is around 570m:blink:
Not a chance, i carried out this test quite a few times (on long motorway runs) and best i managed was low 400's (418 IIRC)
Can't see you...
To me, it looks like they are getting the Cupra and FR models mixed up rather than the TFSI TSI.
I could see the Cupra being £4k and the FR being £2700 rather than the TFSI and FSI thing.
Last thing you want to do is get it wrong and then prang your car. Instead of putting your reg number...
No, i have not driven a Cupra and in all honesty i do expect them to be quicker than the Mk1 Cupra R but i was only pointing out that the official SEAT figures do not really show this to be the case.
Although there is evidence from RR's to show that these cars are making upto 260bhp out of...
Interesting.
I found the Mk1 LCR version of the above just for comparison as i know how you Mk 2 Cupra chaps love to boast of the '260'bhp superior performance;)

So from what i can gather from the 2 reports is...
If it's priced at £50k they wont have a cat in hells chance of selling it as..
Porsche Cayman S at £44k
Porsche Boxster S at £40k
Used R8's will be coming into that kind of price range, along with porsche 996/997TT or as suggested Nissan GTR. M3 E92 a little cheaper so plenty of 'better'...
Not specifically Leon related so i suppose it shouldn't be posted in here but question is, what cars in the VAG range use the same engines and turbos? (New breed)
I know the base 2.0t cars are 200bhp, although the new golf gti upto 210bhp? What have VW done to extract the additional 10bhp...
Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Remember that and you wont go far wrong.
Because the bolts that hold the calliper in are facing away from you, you need to slacken the bolts off towards the back of the car, (On the passenger side), and to the front (on the drivers side)
I had the same problem...
Full stage 2 with hybrid turbo and 50bhp nitrous (Although at optimum bottle pressure and correct controller settings its more like +65-70bhp)
Pub talk figures anyway, it's how it drives and at the moment it's scaring the absolute shi* out of me, still 3yrs on, i still get that buzz.
Not true mate, there are tonnes of threads about slipping LCR clutches.
Mine lasted about 10k after remap
TDI clutches go like there is no tomorrow with a lazy driving style especially when mapped.
I hope your post was not aimed at myself for giving my unbiased opinion. (Hey 6.5 out of 10 aint that bad ;) )
Keyboard warrior? Who is being a keyboard warrior? All i see is a few posts concerning JBS customer relations:shrug: Keyboard warrior to me, means going down the road of personal and...
