It's a detent spring of sorts and is inside the gearbox you'll notice if you have a gearbox out of a car unless you lock it into a gear with your hand the linkage will spring back into neutral position.

Inspection hole/hole for timing...wouldn't worry about it!

I'm in the same boat myself! I'm leaning towards pagid at the moment there's lots of good feedback on here and there at a very good price!

I suppose another possibility is that it had a tip, exhaust, air filter etc. mapped to all of that but sold standard and parts were sold separately. Either way I'd rather have it remapped properly rather than just turning down the boost, I think it would be better in the long run what you...
