Hi cannot remember exactly but you may as well do the clutch whilst the gearbox is out. Got mine from euro carparts the original luk ones which are standard equipment. Did get a new DM flywheel as well but returned it as old one was in perfect condition. Flywheel was around £350 and I think...
I have a 14 plate 150 TDI and yes the slave cylinder is in the gearbox made from 100 % real plastic and the back blew out of it at around 70 k miles and guess what , the new part has been modified
Had the same on my fr 150 TDI. Slave cylinder exploded as it's made of plastic. Check brake fluid level to see if it's dropped. Look for leaks from pipes and master cylinder. Look for puddle on engine undertray under gearbox bell housing.
Mine did not get fluid on clutch but changed it anyway...
Blue smoke is oil burning so probably valve guides or rings/ bores. Diesel smoke is black if overfuelling, white and very smelly if unburnt.

So when you have new Tyres fitted and are told to recheck your wheelbnuts after a few days you just don't bother.

Hi, have been talking to my mate about doing a cam belt and water pump change on my 14 plate 2.0 tdi fr and he says it has to go on a computer for about 20 mins where the programme revs and shuts down the engine and shuts and opens all the heater valves etc as the electronic water pump causes...
Had a 1.6 TDI Ibiza from new did 62000 trouble free miles and now have a Leon fr 2.0 TDI 150 and done 56000 trouble free miles. Regularly serviced and only Esso fuel put in both.
Check front tyres ,thought I had front wheel bearing gone on my 2.00 TDI for and it was the front tyres gone out of shape ,looked fine till you jacked it up ,as soon as the weight was off the tread blocks where all different hieghts
I would say you seriously need to learn to drive you have to use all the gears to get good fuel economy not the first three. We have a 150 TDI returns of between 63 mpg and 55 mpg with an average of 58.3 over 41 k and these are actual figures worked out between fill ups not computer figures
Surely if it's warranty work then the cambelt should be renewed anyway as no self respecting mechanic would put any second hand cambelt back on especially if has done 55 k
Had a 1.6 tdi four years and 65000 miles sweet as a nut no problems other than servicing. Had a 1.2 dsg as a loan car when tdi was being service, completely gutless compared to the tdi revs its guts out all the time so very noisy.
Yes set them to fold whenever you lock the car, then you can listen to the plastic gear teeth destroying themselves on a frosty morning when they are frozen solid
