It's factory fitted. Any competent insurance company should accept that, but it's a cat 1 alarm so better than they need.

They probably changed the neutral position sensor. I've got a 2.0tdi so it mightno tbe the same but mine was under the airbox on the gearbox where the shift levers are. Turned out my issue was a broken wire close to the plug for the sensor.
My daughter has a problem with the instrument cluster on her Ibiza, 2012 SE TDI. The while lights for the dials stay on all the time, key out and doors locked. I'm assuming it needs repairing, has anyone had this problem and had it fixed? Any recommended places to get it fixed near...
I used a mk1 leon cupra with a newborn and a 6yo. There's more space in the mk3 so shouldn't be a problem unless the boot is a weird shape

With those miles and it being a second car just get the 1.8 petrol. You don't want a diesel as you'll have dpf issues and it sounds like you can wait for the right car.
There are silicates in the coolant as a corrosion inhibitor. The expansion tank will say 'mit silikat' if you have a bag in it. Eventually the bag can split and the little chunks of silicate go round the cooling system and get stuck in the heater matrix stopping the hot coolant circulating...
The official repair is to flush the cooling system out to make sure that the heater doesn't get blocked again, but I figured that considering the saving I'd just let the new matrix catch the rest of the bits and then if it stops working fit a new one.
The matrix is £230 from ECP if you pay for...
Use the guide that's on here to take the matrix out and check the flow through it with a hose. I bought one from eurocarparts online with free delivery so I could return it if it wasn't the problem. I released the pressure in the cooling system and then put the cap back on only lost 1/2 litre...
I was fiddling around with Torque and found the charge air cooler temperature. It was reading 87C, is this correct? I thought it was supposed to have it's own circuit, pump and radiator but it's at the same temperature as the main engine coolant circuit.
The car is a 2013 2.0 TDI 150.
Yes, there's usually a standard 12v battery somewhere. But you still end up dragging round a quarter tonne of dead weight, have a car that is set up for battery power, might have a stupid cvt gearbox, gutless Atkins cycle engine and looks like a spaceship.
You can stick a hybrid system in a car and declare it low emissions but it doesn't mean it is. The BMW 330e is a hybrid with a 40l fuel tank and a 15 miles electric range. As soon as the batteries are empty it's a not very efficient heavy (extra 230kg) 2l turbo petrol and does mid 30s mpg at...
Cheers. I was wondering if they were both the same thread.
Hopefully I'll be ok, I've done oil changes, my heater matrix and put new bearings in the washing machine.
