I feel your pain. Seat Aberdeen are shocking. Terrible customer service. My car was in for 3 weeks getting warranty work and timing belt and water pump replaced (mk2 Leon). They told me they would send out the paper work to me when I collected my car. (Service manager didn't have time to type...
When it happened to me on my car it was low coolant. It also came up with the low coolant warning on the MFD. 3 loud warning beeps went off as well if I remember rightly. Mine was losing coolant due to a leaking EGR cooler.
That's there so if you come out to your car and the windscreen is frozen you don't destroy your wipers when you start your car, if you have left them on. It's saved my wipers when I forget to put the wipers back to stop position the night before and the windows froze up that night. Bosch wiper...
Can you get it to rattle stationary? Does the sound go away if you push the clutch in and then the sound returns when you take your foot off the clutch? If so could be the dual mass flywheel.
Also my car is very easy to stall, which I find unusual for diesel. The revs sometimes just completely die on you when you try and pull away. I told them about this problem about a month or 2 after I got the car. But they said they couldn't replicate it or that it was just the dash board rattling.
Hey everyone.
Car just been serviced and I spoke to them about an very annoying rattle I have between 1000rpm up to 1500rpm. The noise disappears when you press the clutch down. Anyway they suspect the noise is coming from the dual mass flywheel but said no warranty work will get done unless it...
Thought i would update on my coolant issue. it takes 2 weeks for the coolant to drop from max to min. Also started seeing evidence of coolant escaping from the expansion tank, where the 2 halves meet.
My car gets its service on Friday, will ask them to sort it then.
Im hoping that is where it...
Meant to say my car is the fr cr170 and not a cupra, but the timing belt 5 year recommendation is across the board for all belt driven seat cars. They wouldn't recommend 5 years if they thought there was a chance of belts snapping earlier.

My garage says 4 years but I phoned seat uk and they have assured me it's every 5 years. So I will follow what seat uk has told me and what the website says as well.

I put my car in the garage after going though a litre of fluid in 3 months. They pressure tested my radiator and checked over it and said everything is fine. I guess I'm going to have to live with loosing fluid. At least it's quite slow at going down. Anyone got a similar problem with no faults...
My road hawk came with a 3M sticky mount. Once it's on, it doesn't come off so had to position it where the wipers clean. Just noticed my road hawk is actually the road hawk 720. The road hawk HD is over double the price of the 720. I would try a cheaper one and see how you get on with it. After...
It's okay the road hawk. Good clear picture during the day, At low light it's quite poor. It is pricey compared to others. Having looked at videos of other cheaper dash cams, I would maybe try a cheaper one first as the picture quality was just as good. You really have to position the camera...
Just had a look at my car, engine cover seems fine. When I push the clutch and rev the car the rattle goes away. Then comes back when I take my foot off the clutch. Starts rattling at about 1250rpm.

I get mine from about 1500rpm up to about 2500rpm I think. I will need to drive it to get the exact rev range. I did take it to the garage but they said they couldn't replicate it. The sound is from the same area described above. A really annoying rattle.

The noise you describe is almost identical to what i am getting on my FR170 CR. But does the diesel have a sound actuatory thingy?? Would never have thought anybody would want a noisier diesel if it does have one.
Make sure you put the camera where the wipers will clear in front of the camera lens. Right behind the mirror the wipers don't reach. I had to offset my one to the left and down a bit. You still can't see it from the drivers seat. I'm using road hawk HD.

Slightly off topic but has the car you are looking at had it's timing belt changed?? My seat garage recommends every 4 years.
