Hi all,
I have a 2011 plate Leon FR, with the RCD310 headunit it in, with the external ports for both Aux and USB in the storage part behind the gear knob.
I have tried several USB sticks in the port (or varying types) and I cannot get it to register anything on the headunit.

So... it was definitely a boost leak! Had a dig around at the weekend and found it very quickly... hole was so big you could actually get your finger in there!
Have managed to bodge fix it for the time being and it seems to be holding boost just fine, and the smoke has all but disappeared...
(Moved from the FAQ section as I posted in the wrong place originally)
So... over the last couple of weeks the turbo boost noise has gradually been getting louder and louder, and the car has become noticably more smokey (to the point you can actually see it in the rear view mirror at times...
Damn, you are right you know, this is the FAQ area! Is there any chance a moderator could shift this to the right place?
Thanks for the replies guys, there are no pipes that have obviously popped off but the louder air noise would suggest maybe one is leaking. Will have to see if I can track it...
So... over the last couple of weeks the turbo boost noise has gradually been getting louder and louder, and the car has become noticably more smokey (to the point you can actually see it in the rear view mirror at times, doing my bit for global warming!).

Afternoon all,
I was driving home yesterday and suddenly my dashboard started to make a clicking noise. It is definitely something to do with the mechanism that controls the indicator / hazards as it is exactly the same noise, but continues after I have turned them off. I have checked, and...
Anyone happen to have a guide for the actual fitting of the brace anywhere? (I am what I would describe as an enthusiastic, but inexperienced mechanic... ie I can do things if there are instructions!!)
Hi Guys,
I am looking to remove my multi changer from the glovebox, and I think the only way to do this is to replace the glovebox with one that doesn't have the multi changer mountings in it.
Is the best way to do this to find a car in a scrappy that doesnt have a multichanger and just...
Literally open the top of the washer bottle and you can see the prongs. Get a screw driver and scrape the crap off them. Worked fine for me after that. Not got any pics I am afraid but you can't miss it if you take the bottle top off
Thanks Aymen, the place I got it regassed said that if any work was required to get the air con system up and running they would regass it for me free of charge. (I need to just double check with them that that also counts if I do the swap of the parts myself!)
Yeah I suspect you are probably right. Is it best to just get these sensors through Seat, or is there a more cost effective way of getting these? Are there patent parts that can be bought for example? I had a look on Euro Car parts but couldnt see these sensors on there.
I have had it done to two Leons... they have to dismantle half the front of the car to get to the rad. I didnt do the work myself but I saw it mid work and they had to remove a lot of bits to get it out.
Thanks, will take a look at the sensor on the back of the engine this evening.
Any idea what that 50.3 code means? Strangly if I google it I dont find anything at all for that code!
So I have used the climate control error code retrieval message and I am getting 3 codes flashing up in a loop.
I have these two which I found on the list on that link you sent me:
05.3 Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor, front, sporadic open
22.3 A/C Refrigerant High Pressure...
