Have a look on ebay mate, theres a few reputable sellers on there that sell new turbo's for £250-300 and then find someone that'll do the fitting, not exactly sure how long itll take but thats got to be alot cheaper.

Mine smells like petrol if I take the oil cap off to. I had an oil change its exactly the same so might be piston rings, although wouldn't you be getting white smoke out of the exhaust?

I've been suffering from that stuttering and detonation at low rpm's and I had a fuel pressure test done and the pressure is half of what it is supposed to be. Faulty fuel pump and 4 leaking injectors are the cause for me.

How much was the boost leak test?

Had mine looked over today and my original Bosch dv was shot so replaced that with a forge 007 and its got better. My temp sensor is also knackered so need that replaced and I've also got a vac leak which hopefully is the cause of the injectors leaking

Mine is doing this as well, 1st and 2nd gear is horrible, boosts up on its own and then dumps immediately. Checked on vag-com but doesnt mention n75 valve. Would the n75 throw a code if it was faulty

Yep 1.8t indeed. I'm going to worry about getting dirt in there. How exactly you meant to stop any dirt as Ill be working outside, wind etc will carry dirt particals?
