I recently upgraded from my ibiza cupra TDI to a 2011 mk2 cupra in speed blue with a stage2+ map. Tbh I really don't think the cupra r is worth the extra premium they demand. Both cars remap to the same power and have all the same mechanical components, just slightly different aestetics on the...
Aye probably is best to wait till i'm 100% sure I want rid...
And yeah same for me, small parkings dings and scratches from stupid careless people and don't forget the lacquer peeling roof and faded boot... :(
Would probably cost over £1000 to sort all the paint out and at this point I...
I am in 2 minds about what to do as I will probably end up regret selling it.
There are just quite a number of small things that stop the car from being perfect and I can't justify spending the money required to bring it up to the standard I want it to be.
Your's looks like a beast as...
Cheers guys, might actually be selling up soon as I fancy a petrol again.
Gonna lose out on a lot of money if I do, as cupras seem to be going pretty cheap these days, especially with as many miles as mine.
Small little update.
Went to have my map looked at and upped the boost a bit. The car had a bit of a flat spot at 2.5k RPM and then a big dump of power at 3k RPM so something wasn't right.
After the remap the car is a whole new beast. No more flat spot and much more power, 227bhp and 365ftlb...
Got myself some Bilstein b14 coilovers a week or so ago and finally got round to fitting them. Had a bit of a nightmare trying to install them.
Firstly on the passenger side after finally freeing the strut from the hub, lots of hammering and swearing, I got it all back together and then went...
Yeah was gonna wrap the bottom bit of the bumper black and I need to replace my tripple r splitter as I tore it off on the motorway :(
I bought the one off ebay for a stupid price. Really wasn't worth it as it really isn't made that well and it came in 2 parts. Had to clean up the surround...
Fitted a honeycomb front grill this weekend. Really improves the look of the front end and really pleased with how it came out.
Also polybushed the dogbone mount using a powerflex bush. Was interesting trying to push the bush in myself but eventually got it.
Yeah had it on VCDS, no errors.
Been taking group 11 logs on VCDS and you can see the vanes change position and boost stop rising even though it's requesting the right amount. Something seems to be causing the vanes to open preventing boost from increasing.
Just can't understand what
I've just had a new hybrid turbo fitted and had the car mapped and having some issues with boost levels not increasing correctly when flooring it from certain RPM.
If I floor it from below 2k RPM then the car boosts perfectly and as expected reaching peak boost around 2.3k RPM at 28psi...
Yeah the darkside hard pipe isn't the best of fits. I've managed to bash my lower pipe on the road after going over a small bump on the motorway, not even lowered.... Luckily only dented the pipe a bit.
Also a pain to get the silicone pipes connected because of the fit, had the lower pipe...
A nice little video done on the day of the remap of the popcorn limiter, sounds awesome :D

Went super well so pleased with the result. Got a few small niggles that may need working out but other than that the car is a beast now.
Just keeps pulling past 3k rpm and really surges you forward, managed to wheelspin it in the dry in 3rd gear.
Still holding fine on the stock clutch no...
It was expensive but with turbos you get what you pay for. I wanted this to be 100% reliable whilst giving really good results.
Will see what its capable of on saturday after I've had it remapped.
I paid £1370 for a brand new unit from turbo dynamics so quite expensive.
Pretty much finished it all after a hard days work, just the egr delete pipe and intake left to fit tomorrow morning and then start it up for the first time. Pretty nervous....
Good job I changed the turbo, my old...
