There is a similar pump filter that need cleaning on the VAQ vs Haldex (think I've remembered that terminology correctly). The VAQ just takes advantage of the hole in the gearbox that is freed up for the rear prop etc to be able to do its thing with the FWD Diff.
If my understanding of the bits are right, not changing the oil will potentially put extra strain on the pump, however not heard of these things failing. Clutches on tuned manuals and leaky thermostat/water pumps however....
Also main dealers likely change the oil and do not do much else. I'd...
I can't recall as never used it, and not had the car over 18 months now.
However I did have more views than in your screen. I had Classic and 3 personalised view options. I remember that as I had 3 of my own setups for different circumstances that I used regularly. So looks like something is up...
You'll likely need the GPFs coded out via an updated MAP, although not 100% on that.
As for failing MOT, its a visual inspection only, so it would only fail if they know its meant to have a GPF fitted. So depends on how competent or thorough your MOT inspector is :D
In all the time I owned mine I've only ever seen another two others, and both were arranged meet ups :D
One was a meet arranged on here:
And the other was meeting someone at a services for 2 minutes in the rain to pass on the Cupra R grills I had spare. He was the one that found out only 42...
That does seem very odd, not met anyone who didn't think they were a massive imporvemnet.
The only issue I ever had with them (on both my leons, was that the none heated ones in the carbon edition froze (280 had winter pack). and when I first installed them it took some getting used to as they...
I believe the only real one is Carbon Build up on the valves/inlet.
But there are cleaners you can get to help and people who offer services to clean it.
On the up shot, you have less to go wrong.
Cupra R ST is the later engine updated for the PPF, so only had 4 injectors. ABT is unrelated as just a plugin module.
The Cupra R hatch and Carbon Edition special editions, have 8 as not the later PPF. But only had the 6 speed gearbox (in DSG form).
I'm 99.9% sure that the Cupra R (310 manual hatch) has an extra radiator based on @paddy6789 when he was stage 3ing and adding an oil cooler.
Maybe worth seeing if you can get the parts/details of that to reverse engineer what's needed?
Also don't the 4drives also have a radiator for the DSG...
Here you go...
This is around the time (October 2018) people were still getting Chrome based Cupra's but their cars were GPF. If you search back you'll likely find the build date info and if you go forward you'll be able to find when people actually got their cars...
Some updated info for you:
Pre GPF
other:
- Chrome SEAT 'S' badges (Other badges available in Chrome, Black or Orange depending on options)
- Seat Sound System factory option
- Analogue instrument cluster, from MY2018 (So Sept 2017 I think) First gen digital cluster (no central rev counter or...
Retrofit, as the interior parts just won't transfer across.
To do it would be a massive piece of work a lot of customisation and £££.
What is it you're trying to achieve that the normal parcel shelf arrangement just doesn't do for you?
I think a simpler approach would be to use the parcel...
Its a while since I had my Mk2, But isn't the boot a different shape? I know it had different shaped lights and a bigger glass area, but wasn't sure if there were other things that would prevent a swap...
I was about to say, I'm sure its just clipped in and you need trim removal tools, but looks like the above has it covered!
Do be careful when pulling out as it has the washer pipe connected to it (release the left side first).
The pre facelift version is near enough identical it how it operates to the Mk2, that small delay in the brakes being released type of thing.
The Mk3.5 has an electronic handbrake so is a different kettle of fish altogether. When you come to a stop i the DSG you apply the brake a little harder...
The ABT kits in Europe have an additional level you can go to, involves a better air filter and their intercooler. However I know on the next level up (ie more power) requires the ABT module reprogramming.
So its not unheard of with the intercooler.
As for Oil cooler, these cars can suffer...
I know, we've had this discussion more than once :D
I know @SuperV8 has answered in a different way, however there is evidence of the Audi RS cars being taken on track and cooking one side of their brake setup. Faster and potentially heavier cars, but its still doable in a Cupra.
I have spoken...
The 370mm discs that come with the Brembo's on the Cupra R ST (and Cupra R, Carbon edition and performance/Sub8 pack) are directional.
Its just that there is only 1 disc you can buy, so its direction is wrong for one side of the car.
