  3. Mk 1 LCR, any good for hill climb events?

Excellent advise rallychief. There is a danger of over thinking this. Get out and do it. Improve what needs improving after your first event. It will be so obvious its unreal. Spectate, discuss with competitors, marshal, loads of good info just waiting to be got. There is ample opportunity to...
  4. Mk 1 LCR, any good for hill climb events?

Hillclimbs: Its over in 2 mins, so my view is you don't need a lot of the high end trackday stuff. The brakes must work 2nd push, so no hard pads. Smaller discs are easier to steer, gauges?, you will never look at them , but the use the best rubber regardless of price.... Jon Done a few: good fun

  7. Project - Info Wanted Please

Cambelt end of the 1400 16V is a bit weak in my opinion. Make sure you have replaced both belts and all tensioners/water pump before doing any serious rally work. From recent experience of an AUA Jon

  10. My Cordoba Coupe Trackday Car Project

So fit new ones.......... A rally (65 miles) uses just over half a set of fronts, so its not a difficult decision. DS3000 rock also, I use more 3000's but I did a very very fast rally in the cordy on 2500's and was very impressed with the bite and progression. 3000's are a lot harder to...
  11. My Cordoba Coupe Trackday Car Project

Ds2500 Basically yes. Its on DS2500 now with 280 G60's. But for snow I have 14 and even 13 narrow rubber than will mean 239mm discs, so they will fit over. The DS2500 fit the early calipers and are likely to be better than the green stuff rubbish in there now (spare set) Jon

  19. My Cordoba Coupe Trackday Car Project

Outcome... Albermarle... Well it was all going swimmingly.............. 4 stages down (of 8) Pair of new front 888's about finshed in 38 miles. Credible 19th overall. Then a funny transmission noise pulling away from the timecard collection point of stage 4. Noise way too serious...
