Based on my other posts about the build quality and software glitches my advice would be to spend a little more and let Seat do the service - therefore they cannot wriggle out of any warranty claims. ( even though they shouldn't if genuine Seat parts are used). You may also get free AA breakdown...
An update on original post, car body control module reprogrammed 3 times in 6 weeks by dealer from advice of Seat tech and the factory.
Same issues still exist, clearly a defective car from the factory but Seat have no idea of how to fix. The last factory advice was to leave the battery...
Update on original post.... 3rd fuel flap hinge fitted 6 weeks ago along with new painted flap. Flap rejected as you could see primer instead of paint on edges of flap (smart repair job, not body shop). Back at dealer last week as flap catching bodywork again. Dealer readjusted flap (no idea...
2017 Ibiza - fuel flap dropped (bottom left hitting car chipping body paint). Replaced by Seat under warranty but 2 months later same issue. Replacement of hinge and flap. Flap requires painting as Seat will not change flap over - even though a 30 second job, could make matching paint so much...
The problem with Seat and dealers it's been to is that if no fault codes are picked up there is nothing they can do. Even with video evidence they requested of the faults nothing can be done without fault codes.
One dealer has put in writing there is nothing else they can do and go back to the...
Same model - there appears to be a few owners of this model that share the same issues but no fix. Even with new hardware (ECU/SAT Nav) problems still exisit.

Not sure if we have a "Friday car" or first batch of the new model gremlins but has anyone else suffered.....
trip resets at random times to zero (the manual does say after certain time/mileage) this reset is at random times.

How often would you change sparks plugs on a 1.4 85bhp 2011.
Service books states every 4 years, then on another page every 6 years.
Seat service booking online suggest every 2 years, so does VW
any ideas for the correct interval change?
I have a Leon 2010 1.4 tsi. I also noticed poor mpg above 70mph.
I see better mpg if the revs are kept below 2000rpm
The tsi engine is not for motorway miles, fine around town and the odd dual carriage way.
changed my front discs and pads, plus rear pads this week. Used Mintex guide on-line to order the correct parts from eurocarparts

I have a 2010 Leon, Drivers door handle stopped working a few times in the summer but began working until this week when also the rear passenger door handle has failed - assume its to do with the damp weather and the electrics in the lock
