I tried replacing the drivers door switch cluster, didnt fix it at all! So ruling that out too...

Hmmm thing is I've had 2 new door locks fitted, one worked for about a year and when I tried replacing that one with a brand new 1 I still had the same issue. This led me to believe its maybe not the door lock itself at fault but maybe a broken wire?

not found a cure yet and no one else seems to have this problem :S

Is that part in the door locking mechanism? Or somewhere else? Cant say I seen anything that looks like that when I had the door card and lock off the car :S

Bit of a dummy when it comes to checking wires. Whats the best way to do that? All the connections seem fine and cant see any broken or damaged wiring visually. Also what is meant by a plunger? Thanks guys

Anyone? I heard the window motor may also be another factor which could cause that sort of malfunction?

hmmm theres no door lock buttom on the top of the passenger door and I tried a brand new lock and its got the exact same issue so I'm ruling out the door lock. Its a very annoying problem to try and fix :(

I meant central convenience module. Anyone got any ideas what this issue could be? Please hlep

I have the exact same problem, did you find the solution? I spent most of the day fitting a new door lock and its still unlocking itself... Could it be a faulty connector or a faulty passenger window convenience module? I had a look and there were no frayed wires :S HELP

Ah forgot to say mines a 150 tdi, my gearbox is making some strange noises hoping its maybe just the flywheel but had a new clutch, flywheel and release bearing only 20,000 miles ago :(

What were the symptoms mate? Mines making a noise like a whirring chattery noise when the clutch pedal is pressed down half way but goes away at the top and bottom of the pedal travel. Was yours only making a noise when the clutch pedal wasnt pushed in?
