    Just an update on this, I changed the thermostat for a second time and that fixed the problem. Car gets up to temp now and the gauge stays at around 90.

    Just to add, I'm pretty sure the temperature gauge used to sit at bang on 90 and not move, now the temperature settles at around 92.

    I don't think so, the coolant was changed with the temperature sensor.

    I'm pretty sure it didn't do it before, it always stayed on 90, it was doing it through the mild weather we had in December too.

    Thanks, I think I'll go ahead and get the revised diverter valve, even if that's not the problem there'll be no harm in having it.

    On the way home from work tonight I noticed my tfsi sport wasn't boosting correctly, if at all, and had a hissing noise from around 2500rpm. I'm still on the original OEM diverter valve so I'm guessing (and hoping) that's the issue. Is that what it sounds like? I had a quick search, but...

    A Cupra instead. ;) Not a lot to look for really, it'll still be under warranty so that should cover any problems with it, just make sure it's in good condition.
