The car is back and repaired. As expected, it needed the white clip and the wiring repaired. Haven't driven it yet. The GF drove it home as I took her to get it in my car. Apparently she said it drives lovely so all done (finally!)

Further to this thread being posted (started back in Sept) the Ibiza has been sat outside our house without moving until Monday. It has been sat for over six weeks!!! In short, we got the pedal off and had it welded and because I am hopeless with cars, my friend helped to put everything back...

HELP! Though the guide on here has been great, my friend (I'm crap with cars) is struggling with this. Basically, everything has gone back in (locating that spring was a b*tch) but the pedal, once depressed, isn't coming back up fully. Any ideas?

Yes, I'm not too good on cars but the RAC guy said that it's hydraulic. There's a guide in the FAQ section and a lot of people have had this issue and fixed it by welding it up better. Supposedly it's a common fault because SEAT just did one small spot weld on it. Chris, you have PM mate!
