DPJ - Post deleted. Hum... It seems some mods on here take their "job" a little too seriously.
Of course, I can see how my posts might be misconstrued, but to reinforce, I did say that we weren't looking to sell and that I was basically letting him know that we'd let our higher spec, lower...
The car is back and repaired.
As expected, it needed the white clip and the wiring repaired.
Haven't driven it yet. The GF drove it home as I took her to get it in my car. Apparently she said it drives lovely so all done (finally!)
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
Friday night and the missus (pregnant and food pangs) decided she wanted a chip naan. I was out and so she took the Ibiza out to the kebab shop down the road.
Anyways, she said that she got there ok, but on the way home was struggling getting it in and out of gears...
Super - I'll get it over to them as the last part I tried describing a part (without a number) to them on the phone it was rather difficult.
Cheers mate!
AMC, there's no white clip so I'll look into that... Gonna get it over to SEAT as soon as I get a chance.
Thanks for the offer Chris, I'll give you a bell if, after seeing SEAT, I still have no success.
We need a catch up anyway!!!
p.s. sorted the Westy out; was a duff battery!
Further to this thread being posted (started back in Sept) the Ibiza has been sat outside our house without moving until Monday. It has been sat for over six weeks!!!
In short, we got the pedal off and had it welded and because I am hopeless with cars, my friend helped to put everything back...
HELP!
Though the guide on here has been great, my friend (I'm crap with cars) is struggling with this.
Basically, everything has gone back in (locating that spring was a b*tch) but the pedal, once depressed, isn't coming back up fully.
Any ideas?
Yes, I'm not too good on cars but the RAC guy said that it's hydraulic. There's a guide in the FAQ section and a lot of people have had this issue and fixed it by welding it up better.
Supposedly it's a common fault because SEAT just did one small spot weld on it.
Chris, you have PM mate!
Errr, can you do fencing??? :p
If you were local, I'd show you the motor anyway mate! I just want hers fixing ASAP as it's been an annoying week in terms of cars. My Cosworth engined Westfield (bought only a fortnight ago) is having teethng problems and troubles starting so that's going...
The clutch pedal has snapped on my Girlfriend's Cupra. She was AA recovered little over half an hour ago.
The guy has recommended that it is welded but although there is a guide in the FAQ section, I am not very mechanically minded and I don't have the tools.
We are in East Manchester...
