Very easy to remove. Yes it's under the battery. There are two nuts.... (i think its two anyway) fixing the FCU to the underside of the battery tray. One of them might be slightly covered by the map pipe so wiggle it out of the way a bit if you have to. If yiou cant get to it just take the map...
