Hi all
I know this has been discussed before but has anyone found a solution to power mirrors not folding and seating correctly??
Have turned the feature off with Carista but mirrors are still sitting high and not seating in groove, also 2 fault codes showing in diagnostics which I have cleared...
Dealer definitely taking the Michael. Got mine done last year , cambelt change, 2 year service plan, mot, brake fluid change £748. As my water pump is driven from exhaust belt on my particular engine did not need that done as then it would have been over the £900 and it was the dealer that pointed...
1. This was doing this on my car some months ago quick squirt of wd40 solved it at the moment
2. Well known fault with fuel flap mine was replaced last year under warranty when I reported it at cars service. When no fault found by technician but when I unlocked car at pick up luckily fuel...
If it is the 140 ps engine it is my understanding the water pump is driven from the exhaust I checked when I had my cambelt changed in March and this was the case on I believe this specific engine.
Long thread regarding this a short time ago. Email reply I sent enquiring about this I got back from Seat customer service UK confirmed it is 5 years with no mileage stipulation.
Yes I did the same as you only I emailed Spain who put me onto UK importer who gave me same answer so there we are 5 yearly does not matter about mileage.
Well would you look at a cambelt and say that looks fine to me and the next day it snaps costing you 2k to fix you have taken responsibility for that. If you don't give the dealership or an independent the responsibility to look after your vehicle you should do the work yourself IMHO.
I agree...
Just for info the email was NOT in response to a query but sent with emails for a service and brake fluid change which IMO is good dealership practice. If you don't want to get these things done then the ball as they say is in your court.
See my previous reply have taken your advice and sent off...
If you watch the video precisely what I said in a previous answer#10 i.e. the belt needs to be removed to check for cracks where the belt engages the drive cogs, there is no way you could check the whole belt in situ.
Email off to Martorell let's see what Seat's response is and put this to bed...

Don't think that is the case as the belt has to be taken off to inspect to see if it is cracked on the teeth which of course are on the inside of the belt. Might be wrong unless someone knows for definate??
£399 for the timing belt. They do recommend doing water pump at same time, fortunately for me my 1.4 140 ps engine is not driven by timing belt so did not need done.
