  1. DAB Radio

Is it every time you put it in reverse?? You haven't wired up a reversing camera or dash camera or anything? I had a lot of problems with the head unit but nothing like that and nothing that couldn't be resolved with a reset. Sounds like it is a connection or interference of the dab antenna...
  2. Leon FR ST 1.4 TSI ordered

The gear knob is shocking too..... aparently ;)
  3. Gear knob

No I got rid of it, it was a badly built **** of a car. I think you and it had lots in common to be fair. Carry on crying about your unsatisfactory gear knob though you shitstain.
  4. Leon FR ST 1.4 TSI ordered

On the subject of lights, my mk2 Leon 1.2 tsi cops had far better headlights than my mk3 FR. Mind you it was also better built and specced. The 1.4tsi is a sublime engine, unfortunately wrapped in the mk3 platform.
  5. prices

In real terms, book price for my FR was 48% down from New price after 19 months of ownership. Such is life, the short term pcp ownership model has flooded the 2nd hand market anyway.
  6. Gear knob

Just man up and trade it in for something else, that's what you told me to do when I had problems ;)
  7. Colours to avoid/go for questions

I don't even know what to say to that!
  8. Colours to avoid/go for questions

I think you did the right thing! Did the dealer know you were colour blind when he offered you the brown? It wouldn't be many people's cup of tea, no wonder there was stock lying around! However, colour is a personal choice. I always go for white because where I park for work it's not uncommon...
  9. Kerb function - mirrors

Select left mirror and choose normal position. Engage reverse, re adjust mirror to desired lower position, drive forward and ensure mirror returns to normal position. Think it has to be kept with the selector on the passenger mirror to continue working. Easy stuff and no need for big long...
  10. Sat Nav issue on new Seat Leon

Just wait until you end up in Wolfsburg a few turns from your destination!
  11. Going in for door rattle fix on thursday

Absolutely the attitude that lets them get away with it time after time.
  12. Cupra ST - Some quality questions

Oh you would go a long way to find a worse dealer than I did, small town with only one franchised car dealer, they seemingly don't need to try! One thing I noticed at the end of my mk3 was the weird offset between the seat and the pedals, meaning you were at an angle to the steering wheel...
  13. Cupra ST - Some quality questions

Absolutely, but it's the response you get from the dealer and manufacturer that will make the difference. Our car school comprised of my 2014 mk3, a 2011 A5 coupe and a 2007 fiat panda. Having the noisiest car with the most rattles was a little embarrassing given the price tag.
  14. Cupra ST - Some quality questions

I'd love to give you my honest opinion on the quality of the Leon but I would be shot down by the buyers pride brigade. Safe to say no car is perfect, and not every car needs recall work to remedy dash and door card rattles. I'd recommend you read through the forum and get a a balanced view...
  15. Going in for door rattle fix on thursday

Exactly the kind of dealer behaviour I've experienced! I've solved my door problem (amongst others) by trading it in! Sure as he'll SEAT weren't going to help me!
  16. New 1.4 150 Run in

    Forecourt to main road......
  17. 18 Months to getbto Wolfsberg

Yeah I'm sure it will all be fine! I'm flying out to Geneva so it's got a week in the long stay Car park to think about what it's done!!
  18. 18 Months to getbto Wolfsberg

Yep, it's been a long time coming but after 2.5 hours on the M6 the car has finally reached its spiritual home and is completely convinced it's in Wolfsberg. Would say it was another nail in the coffin but that ship has sailed :D
  19. Folding Mirrors Park position

Mine was after my first service and took two months to fix itself. The dealer as per usual didnt seem interested.
  20. Back in the fold

It is a pain I agree, if it can be easily sorted its not a big deal on its own. Nithing can ever be perfect and the response to it by the manufacturer and dealer network is a true test of their attitude towards customers. For me its an accumulation of numerous 'small issues' that seemingly can't...
