Car spec'd and ordered 22 October. Was on the point of contacting dealer for update when he 'phoned to say the car was delivered on the 17th. (January). As I was originally warned of maybe a March delivery this was a surprise! Hope to pick it up early next week after the post delivery...

Just by way of correction.....order was 22 October. I note you have it on the spreadsheet as 22 November.

One for the spreadsheet. 1.8 FR DSG in Desire Red; 18" 30/3 wheels; Alcantara upholstery; Reversing camera pack; Storage pack; Space saver spare wheel. Ordered 22 October (very good deal via Carwow) and no updates yet.

Thanks Ash. I think my problem was I was looking for a 3-door version. For some reason VW don't do DSG in that model.

Well done and enjoy the the Golf! You got me thinking, but on checking the VW site they don't appear to offer DSG in either petrol or diesel in the GT Edition. Am I being thick or missing something?!

Just as a PS to the previous. On first service (at Morrison) it was discovered that on pre-delivery inspection at Flemings they had actually left two of the transit blocks in the suspension! I think this just about sums up their total inadequacy! Would be interested to know if they still claim...

Not sure what was done but they got parts from Seat so I assume it was the standard Seat "cure". Certainly seems to have worked......car perfect now.

Delivery I posted on the "Expected Delivery" thread to say that my order (picked up last Friday) took a day or so over 9 weeks from order to collection. This was an Emocion Red SC FR DSG 1.8 (petrol) with some added goodies. It suggests things may be speeding up from the 12 week standard...

It has arrived Hopefully give encouragement to those waiting. Car ordered 19 March. Picking it up on Friday which I reckon to be just a couple of days over 9 weeks from order to collection. Hang in there.....your time will come! :) FR 1.8TSI DSG in Emocion Red with some extras.

Whoopeeeee!! Just been told car ordered is on the Euro Spirit due in Tyne port on 13th. then apparently 5/7 days to dealership. Getting just a bit excited!!
