I would try Zaino Z2 - its a sealant rather than a wax but it works great on darker colours in my experience!

Just to give you guys an update. Got the alternator reading done and it wasn't charging at all. I traced the wiring and all seemed ok, so pulled the alternator out. Got it refurbished as it was a Bosch unit (auto spark recommended repair rather than replacing) and all is good again!

I have heard tell of a blue alternator wire that potentially frays - where would I look for this? Thanks

thanks for the reply - appreciate the help! Where do I check the voltmeter readings from? What wires should I look for - as the battery was replaced we separated the positive connection and the fuse box. Is there a wire I may have missed there?
