It's at an independent SEAT specialist now.
They've found 'swarf' in the fuel line. So it's gonna be a big job :(
I wonder if that's a symptom of service being overdue (so fuel filter/pump degrading) ?
This is the state of my dash at the moment :(
2L Diesel.
Noticed a rattle/knocking noise from exhaust area when starting car at the weekend (from cold).
I opted not to drive it since then.
So I went to get more info just now and current state:
- engine turns over and starts ok
- first time...
[emoji23] obviously
I meant more that it's annoying it happens while driving
Maybe this reset process will sort it for a while so don't have do it every day/when it crashes

I'll try the reboot thing. Unfortunately accessing the sd card while cruising down the motorway is probably not feasible :)

I've started having a strange issue playing mp3 files from an SD card. Had the car nearly 5 years from new, only just started happening.
Every now and then the system comes to the end of a track and freezes.
Off I change to radio for a few minutes or turn device off I can (usually) go back to...
Given my recent exchange with SEAT I wouldn't worry about that as a reason to use SEAT for servicing.
They refused to look at an issue on mine that I asked a dealer about within warranty, but as it's now out of warranty (4 months) they refused completely to entertain the idea of doing anything,
Found a solution that worked for me. I only did this to the front windows, it may be only the drivers taht I needed to do I don't know.
- Press window button so window goes down (doesn't have to be all the way).
- hold up for a second or two after window closes
- release button
- hold up again...
Found the switch position to fold the mirrors, that worked.
So I now know the motors etc are ok.
Looks at the window reset thing someone mentioned, tried a couple of times to do the down and hold then up and hold thing, not yet sorted it. I'll keep trying.
So got response from SEAT Twitter account.
They initially replied to my tweet about being out of warranty to ask for details an DM. which I duely typed out for them.
They respond saying out of warranty, tough.
So that's what I expected, what annoys is they asked me to provide more details...
Thanks for input all.
SEAT have responded to comments on Twitter, hopefully as I explained I first queried while still under warranty they will help get things sorted (at least not at full price).
In answer to some questions -
Rear lights only
Persistent moisture
Both sides
I wasn't aware it is possible to fold from that control, adjust the position of the glass, yes but not fold the whole unit into car from there. I'll have a fiddle.
So my car has been sat over the Christmas break not being used. Only a week or 10 days.
I used to be able to long press my lock button on key fob and the mirrors would fold themselves inwards.
That auto folding seems to have stopped.
I've had a look through the menus on the dash, the only...
Warranty on my Leon ended in Sept '17.
Prior to that I called a local SEAT garage to ask about (a little) moisture in rear light cluster to be told it's normal in vented light units. Seemed odd to me, but hey ho.
Sure enough, the next service (Oct, after end of warranty) a different garage...
Adaptive cruise and heated seats are 2 that I don't think I'll ever regret adding.
Both worth the money IMO.
The swanky wheels I added look lovely and make it my car rather than just another Leon. Like them, not sure worth the extra.
I thought about adding the body kit, but the dealer...
Can't advise on tyres, but I can comment on cameras.
I'm using an actioncam at the moment, think gopro knockoff.
An SJCam SJ7 Star.
I've been very happy with it so far (couple of weeks use) and I can also use it for other stuff (eg I mounted it on paintball gun last time I played)...
Might have badly described it.
..not the bit just under bonnet, but the lower bit in bumper.
That available separately too?
