Took my car into the garage this morning with loss of power and oil disappearing at an alarming speed. Turns out my turbo is a goner.
What sort of money would I be looking at to get it fixed?
Would probably go down the recon'd route.
It is definitely the hose mate. One of the lugs are now flat. Got such a fright when it happened. Would rather fit it myself as im not wanting to drive the car. No power is not fun.
Was driving along at 30 put my foot down and heard a bang and now power. First thoughts were my turbo but mine makes a lovely whine which was still present. I have had a look under and can see the boost hose leading to the intercooler has blown off. How easy is this to replace yourself? I phone...
Thought I saw your car tbh ha. I was driving the black FR. Might get myself a set of the coilovers as well. Was going to go for sportlines but if you can get coilies for the same price then worth a go.
Am I not correct in saying that a diesel works well with pressure so I think the smaller the pipe the better? May be completely wrong but I am sure I seen this somewhere.
If there are any mappers near you they can most certainly plug there computer into your ECU and will be able to see a file or if it is blocked then it will have been mapped.
