I am wanting to change the shock absorbers on my leon. Does anyone know what the strut hub diameter is on 57 plate 2008 Leon fr 2.0 TDI 170 is? I'm being told mine shows as either 50 or 55mm? I know i can take the wheel off and measure it but if anybody happens to know, it would save me...

I could be wrong but had a mates car do pretty much the same on the A1. His inlet manifold had failed and damaged his engine, taking the turbo with it. I'm not saying that will be the cause with yours, could be many things but his symptoms were identical. Just some food for thought

You're all good then mate, i think all cars go wrong at one time or another, they are getting worse! haha I used to just service peoples cars years ago once a year and wouldn't see them till the following year. Now they come back 2 - 3 times between services with faults like failed sensors...

Yes mate, the two were both running BMN engines, i checked my manifold following the first engine failure on my other friends, my manifold was on the verge of failing as well and was very lucky, fitted a new revised one just in time!

Your MPG will probably be down because you have removed the air feed cover from your air filter, it will be pulling in heat from the engine bay.

Do you remember how much the boot handles where on Ebay? Yeah the armrest wasn't very cheap but worth it, don't think i could be without it now, only car i've had without one and first thing i missed!

I would mate but think the handle is a little worn, it's catching on the top corner a little, even with the wrap has a slight mark already where it's rubbing. Going to sort a new handle and then do it again. Doing the front badge on Sunday i think
