    New Ateca

Spotted one on the road on the weekend. Looked very nice.

    New Ateca

Also hope they do come out with a Cupra version - reckon it could be a winner as a much cheaper sports SUV alternative to something like the Macan.

    New Ateca

Same here. I didn't understand the attraction of an SUV with a smaller boot than an estate, especially the 2WD ones (what's the point?) Must be all about ride height. Have to admit the ATECA looks very nice though and the Mrs said she would have perhaps preferred the ATECA to the XP for the ride...

    VW TDi Emissions software scandal

As far as understand the diesel cars are still better for the environment in terms of CO2 emissions so Percy Polar and those with houses dipping into the sea are fine, it's more those people who don't like poisonous gases in their lungs who we should be apologising to.

    Newbie with a new XP

I've done almost 6000 miles now after coming back from two weeks and 1800 miles in France where I managed to get about 56 on one fill up doing mainly motorways (80+ Mph) and some single lane roads with wife and kids, full load in back and air con on, and low 50s for the rest. Since coming back...

    Warm Weather MPG

That was the first time I had bought it - usually go for the regular diesel but was curious if I could feel a difference in performance. At my servo it was only 5p more expensive though. Was there any difference? I think so but will ask the Mrs as she is using it today and I didn't tell her I...

    Warm Weather MPG

I did a 200 or so mile round trip from Surrey to Leicester yesterday and got 56 from the car computer using Esso Supreme diesel, included a really long, annoying 50mph roadworks section on the M1. Not too bad I guess, was hoping to better 60 though. Really wish I had plumped for adaptive cruise...

    Newbie with a new XP

It turned out hill hold was working in the end. I think the specific warranty issue would have been in regards to items that not fitted as specified from the factory - to be honest not sure why that would be the case.

    Newbie with a new XP

Yes, would definitely recommend. One problem that just came up about an hour ago is that I realised that hill hold assist doesn't work (and don't think it ever has). Contacted dealer and I've gone over the warranty mileage. Looks like I'll stick with the good old handbrake until at least next...

    Newbie with a new XP

I've done about 2500 miles on my new XP. I also love how it corners and goes in the rain - feels so planted with the 4wd kicking in. Car also looks even better in real life than it does in photos. I'd also agree that though I love the look of the 18s, definitely can feel them, though it does...

    12 month review...

Thanks from me too for the heads up. They are my closest dealer so good to know if I need anything from them.

    Sat Nav and Traffic

Yeah, after a month with the car I just can't trust the traffic on the satnav. I still use it generally mind you, but for periods when I know the traffic is going to be bad and unpredictable, like coming back into london on a Sunday evening, I use the traffic on the TomTom on my phone.

    Mk3 leon sat nav

I've been pleasantly surprised by it. I wasn't expecting it to match the tomtom and overall I'd take an in-built tomtom over it, but it's done the job so far. The destination search is clunky compared to the tomtom's but I find it clearer at guiding around roundabouts and lane guidance. That...

    Leon ST boot protection?

Great, thanks for that. Will probably go for this then.

    Leon ST boot protection?

Anyone found a boot liner on eBay that fits the ST at both levels? I saw a brochure for ST/X-perience accessories at the dealer yesterday when I picked up my car and i THINK it said the official SEAT one would work in both positions. In my excitement to drive the car home I forgot to take the...

Fitted rubber mats for Leon Mk3

I'm interested in these too - they should be fine in the ST right? Same footwells throughout the entire Leon range I'm assuming.

    Lead times for delivery

Dock to dealer times seem to vary. Ordered my x-perience first week of November. Built mid January, on ship last week of feb. Pick it up on Wednesday (could have picked it up tomorrow but can't take time off work - not happy!)

Thanks. Yes, will certainly share my thoughts. Really looking forward to getting it. Are you thinking of getting one?

Thanks very much for the information. That helps me out a lot.

    ST Boot Length

Hi, I'm hopefully picking up my new ST X-perience this week and, not wasting any time, next weekend I'm planning to pick up a bookcase I'm bidding for on eBay. My question is does anybody know how long the boot of the ST with the seats folded down is? I.e. will I need to have the 203cm tall...
