  1. Strange battery charging voltage?

Well my original factory fitted battery died after two years and have read many issues with the factory fit batteries failing early. Have now fitted a Halfords advanced AGM stop start and changed the setting in OBDeleven to glass mat. So far so good and hopefully this will last a fair few years...
  2. Strange battery charging voltage?

Got ya! So that's why when I'm playing with obd with just ignition it doesn't take long before it shows battery full to discharging. May also explain why there seems to be a common failure of batteries within a two to three year from new as constantly only charging up to 80% capacity cannot be...
  3. Strange battery charging voltage?

I have a 2017 Leon ST (1.8TSI). Had the obdeleven on live data whilst driving and noticed that the alternator seems to charge around 13.2V whilst using gas pedal and if I lift off goes up to a 14.4v charge. Same pattern everytime. I know there is some smart electronics in these newer cars but...
  4. Rieger ST Cupra diffuser on ST FR (facelift)

I confirm it DOES fit quite well but NOT with the standard twin pipe exhaust as the inside pipe is in the way for fitting. I have the dual exit Rieger diffuser and the Milltek system fitted, which is listed for the 2.0 Cupra. As I fitted my diffuser before my new exhaust, I had to angle grind...
  5. I am looking for an update MIB 1GEN 5.8" HW: 041 FW: 0425 Seat Leon 3

I have used these guys, buy online and update via SD card. It improved my MIB2 unit with screen response. https://eastyorkshireretrofits.co.uk/collections/seat-leon-mk3/products/mib1-software-update-seat
  6. SW update for MIB2 infotainment system?

Have a look at these guys, they sell the relevant firmware updates for our head units and tells you how to check which version you require. Bought mine from them and updated with no issues. Touchscreen response improved a bit for me...
  7. No heat from vents

Hi guys, I have a pal who isn't on the forum and needs some advice, he has a 2015 Leon 2.0 diesel. Last couple of weeks the heat output from his vents has become less and less and now he has no heat at all in cab and with the heater on hottest setting it is cold. Antifreeze looks very dark...
  8. Revo vs Superchips vs Quantum Remap

I had the bluefin to do it myself at home. Both use the same map regardless if you go to HQ or order the bluefin, the end result is the same.
  9. Revo vs Superchips vs Quantum Remap

Have superchips on my 1.8 TSI and had one on my mk2 cupra. A lot of people slate them but I have no complaints and driveabilty, power and torque increase is amazing. I had a dyno run on my Leon ST and bhp was around 247 with 360nm torque. That was before I fitted a milltek catback.
  10. Dual Exit exhaust- Rieger diffuser

I had this issue last year. I ended up having to use an angle grinder to cut off the inside exhaust tip to allow fitment of the new diffuser thus allowing fitment of my dual exit milltek cat back. However, the hot exhaust gases will be blowing directly onto the back of the new diffuser so I...
  11. Software updates

When I took my 2017 Leon ST for a service at the main dealer last year, there was a safety update applied to do with the indicators. If there are updates available SEAT or a SEAT specialist with the correct kit will be able to check.
  12. Spark plugs 1.8 TSI

Just bought a set of plugs for my gen 3 1.8tsi (2017). It is longer threads and vw part number should be 06K905601B (NGK) or 06K905611C (Bosch)
  13. Best new tyres for SEAT Leon 1.8 TSI DSG?

Another vote for Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 5 from me. I have them on my leon ST and my 350z and they are epic! Very much rated along side the PS4s in tyre reviews for wet and dry grip, wear rate etc and cost less. Whats not to like?
  14. Revo vs Superchips vs Quantum Remap

Doesn't higher octane fuel go hand in hand with a remap to prevent pre detonation and pinking which long term would cause big internal damage? Also, do we not pay for remaps to gain more performance and driveability from our cars as possible and by not filling up with higher RON fuel defeats...
  15. Wheel Hopping/Spin Cupra 290

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 5 are a very good tyre and up there with the PS4 and £20 ish less per corner. Up there with PS4s in tyre reviews for dry/wet grip low aquaplaning etc I have these on my Leon FR ST and my 350z !
  16. (1.8 TSI)Please analyse my dyno graph

Possibly but who knows I'm no expert, I did see the guy spraying something on the rollers as it was running up, which I'm guessing was just to keep the rollers lubed and hopefully didn't get any over spray near the tyres . Superchips does show a smooth graph for this map on their website...
  17. (1.8 TSI)Please analyse my dyno graph

Just came across this thread and the graphs are not as wavy after tune so really don't know what to think. https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/mk3-1-8-tsi-tuning.394240/ Was going enquire about a custom map but don't want to waste money if results will be the same ?‍♂️
  18. (1.8 TSI)Please analyse my dyno graph

I put my 1.8 TSI Leon ST on the rollers today to see how the superchips stage 1 remap is performing. I am more than happy with the results however, the graphs are wavy and I understand you want the torque and power curves as smoothed out as possible over the rev range? Can you tell me, is this...
  19. Door alignment

Sorry to break the bad news to you but I had this happen on my MK2 Leon. I spent hours trying to do it myself before booking it into a SEAT approved body shop.... they spent a whole day on it and said it was a nightmare to re-align and even then it wasn't perfect. Get it booked into a body...
