I had a golf mk5 gti. It was meticulously maintained from new with the cam follower changed annually, filters and services done every 5000kms and it still had a thirst for oil. Fact of the matter is they use a lot of oil regardless. It's not an issue in my opinion, once you're monitoring it...

If its got an exhaust already then look at air intakes before heading for a remap. Don't forget brake upgrades go hand in hand with performance upgrades. Also make sure it's 100% serviced and if these have egr's that it's clean etc Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Check that the fan blade/rotor is not stiff to turn. If the shaft is dry or the bearing is on the way out then the motor strains to turn it and the resistors end up going. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

To my knowledge you won't get 300bhp out of a k03. As has been mentioned, you'll need a k04 for that, along with a good few other modifications Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
