camshaft

I have a no-start car (seat ibiza mk2 1998). I would like replace the camshaft and crankshaft sensors but I don't know the locations of these. Can anybody help?

Hi all Recently done the head on the ibiza, just a question. Is the camshaft supposed to be tight after installation? Had to change to outlet valves and now the camshaft seems to be pulling back (I cannot pull the locking tool out of them). Didn't fancy belting it up incase this is an issue...

My garage are quoting 7 hours of labour to replace a camshaft position actuator on my 04 Leon Cupra. Does this sound reasonable? Its annoying because they origionally quoted 1 hour of labour but now are saying it is much more difficult than they first thought. Argh! Cheers!

Hi i have a friend that has a seat arosa 1.6 16v 51 plate 100bhp i think. The inlet camshaft has seized and snapped, im trying to source a new rocker cover including cams. The engine code for the arosa is AUB but i cant find any of those engines bein broken up for parts but there are afew leon...

Ok, so I got the car back yesterday after having the peddle box done and a full service The airbag light is on. Apparently this is beause they took the drivers seat out. The light comes on with ignition, then when I fire it up, it goes off and back on again in a flash! Been told only VAG COM...

Having problems with the car. It will start but it wont rev above about 500 even with throttle, its very lumpy and miss-firing like hell! I get a camshaft sensor error on the vag com, does it sound like these problems could be caused by this? Thanks Rob

hi am not really up with the whole posting bit but to cut along story short a got my leon fr+ tdi in april and its been back to the garage for the camshaft speed sensor 8 times. has anybody else had problems with this sensor as i love the car but this is ruining the enjoyment of driving it.

hi i got a seat leon cupra 2001 (r lookalike). fault code showed up last 3 weeks p0011 , camshaft timing overadvanced , took to the garage they they noting wrong with the camshft , u wud no if the cam was fault it would be making alll sorts of funny noises, the car still drives perfect , im lost...
