Hi All, I just wanted to see what peoples opions are of what they believe to be the best time / revs ... etc to change gear for both petrol and diesel cars.

it looks like my 02m box is on its way out and was wondering which of the petrol 6 speeds have the longest gearing ? diesel gearing might be tooooo long:confused:

I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm sure that I read on here somewhere that LCR steering wheels and gear knobs are actually trimmed in red leather and are painted/dyed/whatever in black. Are paints available and has anyone tried them?

On petrols its easy - you just red line 'em but.. Whats the best revs to change gear on a standard 1.9 FR 2005 to get the best acceleration?

This doesnt look right and i think is the cause of my lever springing back to the centre when in 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th (it still stays in gear and drives but looks like its in neutral)

Any one removed the leather gaitor on the leon? Ive removed the chrome trim, can feel plastic clips at 6 oclock 4 and 8 oclock press them but the gaitor is not pulling up...

hi all my gear box has gon on my ibiza gti cup sport 16v i have been looking on line and tryed find-a-part they have come with box's for mine but they need the gear box code the only code i can find on my box is 037-199-307 is this the right 1? and will a 8v box fit a 16v car? many thanks...
