ive been reading about and came across things that say some golf gti gearbox's go niceley into the ibiza gti 8v, from what i can gather the mk3 2ltr 8v golf gti box is the best candidate! so if its not too much hassle i'll prob go for it(and put a nice clutch in while im at it) anyways...

Right i picked up my first leon dannyboi's old one, driving alond and the gearbox seems to be very stiff, also i struggle to find reverse and some time 3rd and 1st, what could this be? Do i need to put the clucth to the floor or not, is it a hydraulic clutch? Any ideas? Thanks Sam
