Had renewal through from Privilege and it was ~ £650 - only £1 less than last year ! So I shopped around a bit and after seeing a few threads on here tried Green Light Insurance. They came back with £480 on an e-mail, so just phoned them up and took out the policy - it was over £100...

Do I have to tell them about my ICE incase my car gets stolen/broken into or will keeping the receipts be enough? Im insured with directline and they say Ive got cover on car entertainment worth up to £1000. :D

I have had many cars in the past and not many have escaped being modified. Ive always told my insurance company about the mods and they have always been very good. I normally start with an air filter and as normal when you ring them, they ask if it adds bhp to the car.... i normally say yes...

Got quote for Seat Leon TDI FR from Direct Line for £730 (current insurer). Went to a website and a pop-up for swiftcover appeared. Thought "What the hell" and did a quote with them - £412 with same excess etc! Think difference with SwiftCover is they may go down to full postcode level...
