Hi all New to the forum. Having recently bought an Altea 1.9TDI reference sport (56), I have now decided that I may want a trip computer installed after all to keep an eye on mpg etc . Does anyone know if this is realistic? or will it be ridiculously expensive? Cheers for any info...

does anyone know how to turn the word oil off that comes on when your car is due a oil change? without using vagcom...just the same way you turn the service message off i guess but ive forgotten how too lol :(

Hey, I've had my Ibiza about a week, I've travelled to Wales to visit family and left my manual at home. I was wondering if anyone could give me a brief overview of how the trip computer works. I cannot find how many miles my car has done since new. Thanks.

Basically when I get in the car the average MPG is automatically put to zero, and then records for the journey time. I now want to average MPG to never reset. Is there any easy way to change this?

Don't kknow if the cupra r's have them, but my cupra 180 sure doesn't [:@] Any way i can fit one onto mine? Obviously i know i'd need to change the stalk, but what about the dials? :confused:

Just a quick question on the Leon MK2 Trip Computer (Non BBT), I noticed today that there is a mph screen, not the average one, and it was started flashing my speed of 72mph on the screen and couldnt change anything for a few seconds. Anyone had this before as Ive never seen it in the 11months...

hello i have a 2001 Y Reg seat leon cupra and i dont have a trip computer switch on the right hand arm. i am thinking maybe someone in the past has changed it and put a standard one on? should i have one or did some of the earlier cars not have trip cmputers? please help.

just noticed it now as its dark i havent been in the car for 1 hour now and the trip computer screen in the centre is still lit up red :confused: it says off on it but all the other info is still showing and its still lit up does anyone know why it would do this? or a cure to fix this?
