vagcom

Hi my LCR is starting to sound like a bag of spanners when ticking over there is a nasty noise coming from the engine, hard to describe but a bit like a clunky knocking, just wondering if anyone in the middlesbrough area has vag.com to check over for me before i take it to seat stealers:cry:

Will VAG-COM work on windows 7? If so, which version do I need to download? I have an ebay 16 pin cable and a 1.9tdi 110 leon if that makes any difference?
