Is this a good deal?

Offered at my local dealers for my Exeo.

£299 for my next 2 services (20k & 30k) including brake fluid change

There's no F in Quality..
That's pretty reasonable for a main-dealer!

I just paid £145 for my 20k at a local independant.

The local main dealer wanted £185 for the 10k and £240 for the 20k. 30k is the same as the 10k ;)

Brake fluid change is also £50.

Sounds like a bargain. Only problem is you have to pay for it all up front.

I signed up for a SEAT servicing contract with the dealer when I took delivery of my Exeo 143ps TDI last week, £20 per month based on 20000 miles a year, so seems like a good deal based on the individual service prices being quoted here.

I did have a good look around here for service intervals but couldnt really find any info . So I asked SEAT customer relations why my 170cr needed to be serviced every 10K when it is essentially a B7 Audi A4 ....response was yes your car is on extended servicing every 20k.....dealers would have still happily charged me every 10k no doubt :-o

Hi all, my Exeo ST 143 SE was registered in March 2010 and the salesman said service would be required every 12 months or 10k miles. Having read different opinions and the car itself informing me recently, service required in 13k, I approached the Service Staff for a definitive answer, and for my particular car it is 12 months or 10k miles. This I am more than happy with as most of my journeys are local plus the fact at the time of buying they offered me a 3 year service deal for £8 a month, we will see if this is all honoured in March 2011!...Julian

anybody remember the chocolate cam issues in the pd engines? alot of those were on the long-life service regime.

you might only pay for a service/oil change every 20,000 but anyone with an ounce of sense and cares for there car knows it should be done in less than half that.

the only difference between longlife oil and normal oil is its a low ash producer so it doesnt block the DPF, its no higher effieciency nor will it prevent damage to the bearings of your engine any better than if you were to use a lesser oil, you'd just end up with dpf issues.

I suppose the point i'm trying to put across is - longer service intervals may seem good for your pocket in the short run but no doubt people will pay in the long run (often when the warrety period is over).

Hi, I believe it is the same 507 Spec oil that is used for Longlife and 10K service intervals on our cars, because of the DPF, so I am baffled as to what the difference in service is
