£500 budget for improvements

i have just bought a 2005 (55 plate) FR+ 180bhp at a salvage auction - last of the Mk1's. it should be outta my bodyshop in about a weeks time at which point I would like to performance mod it without going too beserk - which is why i must stick to the £500 budget regimentally.
car is in extreme blue (main reason i bought it to be honest!!), it had suffered drivers side panel damage (wing, wing mirror, both doors, front bumper and a nick on the quarter - all replaced) and passenger side wishbone, drop link and tie rod/track rod ends - all replaced).
i have access to a very good panic-exempt mechanic who charges me very little for his time and expertise although i would never wish to abuse this.
all ideas welcome if within budget.
i will be happy to document the work and take pics etc so as to maybe help someone else in future

How come its 180bhp, surely its had a remap already! I thought all FR+ were tdi's

the last MK1 LEON FR came in petrol 180 bhp and TDI 150

A Phase 1 remap takes 180bhp petrols to 210bhp...I think.

Wasnt aware they did the FR+ in a petrol at all.... just the 150pd diesels... like mine

The 180bhp Leon FR+ will see approx 205-210bhp and 230-235ft/lb

The stock engine is capable of approx 330-350bhp without looking at changing the internals
