Since my Ibiza tops out at 120mph and sits at 5500 rpm while doing 70mph & a mate from work (never been to the ring) sold his Focus ST for a T5 we came up with this challenge.

You of course got £500 to spend on a car, if you spend less than £500 then you can mod the car to total the £500.

I bought this yesterday, 117k, 2 months tax, 8 months MOT, service history up to 108k, sitting on some cheap collies & induction filter all for £400

Here she is parked on my trailer

The idea is to drive out there, stay for two nights & get a few laps in! Or what is going to happen is break down a lot

Also earlier today while looking through the load of paper work that came with the car I found this ad from 2000

The abf lump I's pretty reliable. My mate has one and believe me he gives it a good bit of stick often and on a half decent set of coilovers they handle pretty well. I'd be surprised if you had any problems. It should be a good runner for the ring.

Nothing, needs two front tyres & tax when we go in august. To be honest can't think what else I could do, any cheap strut braces going??

We planning on going out on August 6th till 8th.... It's open 1:30pm-7.30pm on the Monday, 5:00pm till 7:30pm on the Tuesday, then back Wednesday.

When i went last year there was a group of lads that done the same thing for a stag do. Got a few pics of one of them coming off in a cougar.

I wanted to play it safe, since I have VAG Com & I know this engine well, have a few parts laying around (vibra technic engine mounts & better ht leads) it would be silly not to go for a VAG car.

Just got to wait to see what my mate buys now, he's liking the prices of VTR's at the moment.
