Ok...2003 1.4 100bhp

Last week, Engine Management Light > loss of power > vibration > blowing exhaust.

Recovery > 5 faults inc cylinder 1 and 3 misfiring.

Seat...have had the car for just over 24 hours.

Their Diagnosis...

New Spark Plugs and Coil Pack = £114.56 (already fitted, no bother with that)
Needs a new throttle body, EGR Valve and some Control Unit - DO THESE SEEM NECESSARY?

FINAL QUOTE FOR REPAIR - £778 :wtf:

Your views and advice is appreciated...

Agree with the above. If the car drives fine/better now. Go see a specialist (should be a few in your area) and get a second opinion as some dealers have been known to do nasty things. I'm sure there are good ones! Like the ones who post on here :D

Without looking at the car it would be hard to tell

I expect as a min dealer you are looking at £60 and hour labour? As said get your costs down and go to a VAG specialist or a private garage. In an ideal world I am sure we would all want to try to source parts elsewhere but I imagine you are stressed and need to the car back asap so may not be an option.
