@BigJase88 - Cheers big man. I'll give you a nod once I've made my mind up which version I'm going for. I see the referral amount is in a tier system based on which model you recommend out. 60 quid is for the GTS Black. The S model which is what you've gone for attracts a £5 referral payment.

@GeoffGeoff - I've sent them a message asking about the mid range one. There isn't a great deal of difference between it and the one BigJase has ordered other than app support and marginal power gains over the S model. I've asked how the app will adjust the box if the unit has a rotary selection dial. I can't get my head around that at the moment...
A fiver  buys a pint i guess [B)]

i’m thinking it might go like

S model adapts one sensor
RS box adapts 2 sensors
GTS box adapts 3 sensors

But then i seen on youtube the GTS box only has 2 plugs. So sortov blew that theory out of the water

That’s exactly what I was thinking as I wanted the app control but then noticed the rotary dial so hows that work...be good if you get a detailed answer on that one as that was the main thing putting me off...the top range one is too much for me so if the base version makes a difference and the rotary dial alone is enough then for £119 it’s a bargain notching the 130 up to the 150 territory!

I was looking at the DTUK one which is three channel I think from memory but was a bit pricey for me as you are almost into remap price territory.

Be very interested to see how you get on bigdude as may help me make my mind up (I am hopelessly indecisive so probably never would have bothered...although I have got a Carista in my possession so might have a play with that tomorrow).

I only took the plunge as it was £119, i am much like yourself. I have been looking on DTUK’s website for months and never clicked buy.

if it does what it says on the tin and i get +29bhp thats 159bhp so not too shabby for £119. I will do some tests 0-80mph stock and with the box on and report back. Obviously nowhere near scientific but hopefully should be obvious if anything has changed.

i also have a local rolling road nearby so might stick it on there too just for arguments sake

I plan on putting it on max anyways. The app will be a gimmick you will probably never change it to be fair. Max power at all times.

Good point!

Whether you got 130bhp or 300bhp hopefully no one nails it when cold and once warmed up you use the power as and when you need...what’s the point turning it down when you can just use less throttle.

Yeah be interesting to see what difference it makes...I guess the RR would be more accurate but depends if you feel it’s worth the expense or just see if there is any difference in the drivability.

If it gets more power and torque then should be a right little beauty of a purchase for £119!

Maybe also have the dials on turbo psi to see if the turbo is sitting higher at idle or running higher at full chooch.

The dials on turbo psi? What do you mean by that

Sorry I’m not sure which spec you have...I have the FR Sport and on the main infotainment screen I can have the oil temp, water temp, turbo pressure and other dials displayed. The oil and water temp and turbo psi I find quite useful.

I have a bobby basic fr with analogue dials no fancy digital dashboard for me :(

i do have the fr sport 18” alloys though so externally looks like a non poverty spec fr

It’s in the main unit not the digital dash...not sure if it’s on the FR but if I go into the vehicle settings and the sport display it has three dials displayed at a time but can select between 5 or 6 different read outs.

Be worth checking but maybe it’s only on the sport version sorry I’m not sure what the differences are between specs just yet but getting there slowly haha.

Do you have the adjustable suspension on the FR or is that a sport spec item?

I’ll get there eventually...got the Vauxhall’s (sorry for swearing on the SEAT forum) sussed but I’m starting all over again now haha...all I knew was I wanted the heated leather so FR Sport it was for me.

You should have it mate on the FR facelift. On your infotainment screen go vehicle > view > sport which should bring up three changeable dials. Scroll up and down on each dial to change the type.

Every day is a school day

so is this on the infotainment screen in the big 8” one above the heating controls or is it the screen in between the dials on the instrument cluster?

I wasn’t aware the fr sport had adjustable suspension.

i thought differences were

18” alloys
Digital dash cluster
Leather and heated seats

was not aware anything else was added

then the fr black edition adds black headlining, black grille, black wheels, black wing mirrors on top of fr sport

the black is half leather half alcantara but yes I think it’s mostly cosmetic.

yeah I have the eco, comfort, normal, sport and individual settings on the suspension (DCC I think it’s called).

Do what red stripe says...I use that screen all the time (the big 8 incher in the middle ;)).

Yep big 8" one. Can't see why it won't be on the FR as you have Seat Drive Profile to change driving modes.
Yeah i can change driving modes, all that i notice changes is throttle response, eco will down right kill you and sport when cold can be a bit erratic i just stick it in normal. I will try find these other displays

Just go to the main menu..vehicle...view (top left) then select the sport menu (assuming you have it) and you’ll get a screen with three dials...if you can’t find it I’ll take some pics in morning.

I remember when the GTR first came out and had these options...ohhh if only I could afford a GTR (and not need an estate haha).

I have been through pretty much every option on the unit and i have never came across it. Maybe i missed it. Will check tomorrow and report back

i do not think boost level will change anyways even with the chip as its fooling the car. The chip will take the cars boost reading, say its 1.7 bar and turns that down to 1.5 bar so the car then goes oh no requested boost vs actual boost achieved is 0.2 bar of boost down. So then the car requests 1.9 bar of boost and then will see 1.7 bar of boost. You are actually getting the higher boost but the car won’t see it as its being fooled.

So in theory the car will still think its stock boost.
i have just taken those figures as an example. Or what i think will happen.

thats if the S box even clips onto the MAP sensor, might just be fuel pressure. Won’t know until it arrives
