1.6 TDI Coil Light Flashing + No Boost

Hi,

As I was driving home this evening, towards the end of a 25 mile trip, the Coil lamp started to flash on the dash. A couple of miles later the car lost all boost (coil lamp still flashing).

I have read a couple of things which would link the flashing coil to a DPF regen issue, but I have not come across anyone having the issue of loosing boost.

If anyone could shed some light on potential causes or point me in the way of relevant threads that would be much appreciated.

EGR cooler is the most likely culprit, need to get someone to read the codes.

Happened to me when I got my 1.6tdi after a huge journey the car went into limp mode (flashing coil light) turned out I needed a new egr valve which are very dear, it won't be the dpf, and wherever you take it to get fixed don't let them pom you off "saying it just needs cleaned" it's a temporary fix you'll need a new egr valve, cheapest option is to go to a tuner and get the egr blanked off hope this helps
