I haven't driven one yet but i'm looking forward to the swap and another 10-15mpg hopefully

what are the Ibiza 1.6 tdi's like?

We have had ours just over a week, and are over the moon with it. Havn't put our foot down in it yet, but feels really torquey at low revs (although anything has gotta be quicker than a 1.3 Suzuki Swift).

I've had mine for a month now and I love it, I generally average 45-50mpg on most trips, though if I'm stuck behind other people it'll easily average 60mpg. I guess I have a heavy right foot.

As has been said it's got plenty of torque and is very nice to drive. Though I doubt it will feel fast compared to a 2.0TDI Leon. To me it's very fast as I came from a 60hp 1.4 Ibiza.

The only problem I noticed when I first got it is that its very easy to stall, but I'm well used to it now.

I previously had a 09 CLIO GT 1.6 vvti, very quick wee car but i think my new IBIZA would give it a good run for its money. :D

Had it out at the weekend on the local backroads and it feels much safer on overtaking and very quick right upto legal speed limits :redface:just doesnt handle like the clio but that was like a go kart due to Renaultsport suspension.

30 MPG clio VS 50 MPG IBIZA 1.6 TDI

The IBIZA everytime thankyou :)

my trip computer in the LEON says i've averaged 45.9 mpg in the 4000 miles i've done in it from new, so i'd hope for at least 55 out of the IBIZA

You might be a little disappointed then, my Ibiza's overall average is 50.2mpg and I assume thats over the 1400 miles I've done so far.

Still much better than my mk3 1.4 which could barely manager 35mpg on a motorway run, so I'm well pleased. I don't think you'll be seeing 55mpg untill you've done about 4000 or so miles.
