Had car couple of weeks loving it it's 2018 with 3600 miles on the clock. Whats the general clutch feel like on the leon ? came from Ceed and i30. I have Noticed that the clutch has a very slight notchy/ratchety (probably over dramatising it) well it's not completely smooth feel when driving only very slight most people wouldn't notice. when engine is off it's smooth no feeling at all. Gear changes are smooth no issues there. Think my OCD is getting better of my but thought I would ask put my mind at rest.

Edit , should say it feels a bit like an elastic band resistance if that makes sense lol

TIA

Well i have the 1.4 manual 150 with 30k on the clock and it too has the same notchy feeling. So far i have only experienced it from first to second and i hate it.

I have a 1.4 150 with 40k and noticed the clutch judders if you don't give enough revs. I think it's because the modulation zone is shorter than other manual cars i have had so i come off the clutch pedal a little too quickly.

Not sure if it's the same feeling you describe

It's a difficult one to describe but I get where you are coming from the higher revs definitely do have a smoother change.

Will do another check today my only concern is taking it to the dealers will result in them telling me it's fine. I keep reading about the Clutch Delay Valve and removing it but can't find out 100% if the 1.8 has one.

Car has done less than 4000 miles and I've only done 700 miles in it since I got it may give it another 1000 miles see how it goes try and change my driving style

Interesting, sounds like you have a different issue and mine seems ok once rolling.

On a side note I wouldn't remove the delay valve (aka torque limiter valve) especially on a front wheel drive car. If your foot ever slips off the clutch pedal or you launch a little too aggressively you will break something expensive and Seat will reject any warranty claim
