Hi, my 06 1.8T 20v cupra started overheating last night. Im replacing the thermostat tomorrow but its got all the signs of waterpump failure.

Can anyone recommend a good cam belt + metal waterpump kit? Cant relly find anywhere to get one in the UK and very reluctant to go to seat.

Thanks

Try and find someone who can get the parts from VAG Trade club. I personally wouldn't bother with a metal impeller pump. If one of those fails or gets wedged its going to snap your belt. Far better just to do the pump and belt at sensible intervals and avoid all the problems.
