I'm gunna have to downgrade my car soon to free up some cash for uni :(
I love my TDi FR... saw the mk3 TDi's go for under 3k which is perfect

was just wondering... what do you get out of them after remapped?
any other mods worth while doing?

What's the common problems?
I've seen pedal box is an issue as with VWs around that time...
Electricals I'm guessing...

anything else?

Thanks alot!

Was looking to get the 110bhp Sport TDi really, or is the 100/90 better?

The MK3's are the old style common rails rather than PD's. Makes them slightly harder to remap as it cant be dont through the OBD. I picked up a 5 door 90 tdi 18 months ago for £1300. Had 115k but was in good condition.

The 110 sport would be better to start with than the 90. Not really had any issues with mine, but the turbo is on its last legs and the engine is still sweet. They engines are all quite noisy.

ahhh ok,

I test drove the 100bhp model and found it horrible compared to my current car
when I slam my foot down I get an instant reaction from my car, whereas this one preferred to build the power, don't think I could live with it being that slow xD

Would like to test drive a 110 as it has the sport badge, hoping it has a sportier edge
otherwise have to try out clio, corsa & C2 diesels which specs sound promising
