"16 valves" Stickers

I am picking up my new GTI next week and i was wondering if anyone could shed light on these stickers:

Are they some sort of a special edition sticker or will the original owner of payed extra to have them put on?

Also, are they easy to remove?

Alot of 16v's have them. Bloody horrible! Should be easy enough to remove

You can see the outline of where my cupra sport stickers were, only if you look really closely though.

Use an alcohol solution to remove the outline - cheap vodka will do it.

A load of the 2.0 16v GTI's (pre-Cupra Sport) seem to have these stickers, and I believe the 1.8 16v GTI's too. With Tornado Red having such a habit of fading as it does, I would imagine that the paint under the stickers will not have faded, whilst the paint around the stickers will have. It might T-Cut out, but I'll not be holding my breath.

I had a similar issue removing the "FOX" stickers on my Mk3 Polo... used Petrol to remove the actual stickers then T-CUT to help out with the red outline.

The paint looks more faded where my stickers were, its a slight orange colour compared to rest of the car.

Just take them off... If it leaves a mark, some intensive tar remover should to the trick, if not vodka is the way forward

Also -I don't think they look too bad...

sorry dnt mean to hijack this but what u think of the Cupra Sport stickers everywhere around the 2l? im thinking of taking mine off.

My GTI of the same colour didnt really show any fading when I took them off, one wipe with some polish and it was invisible.

The stuff comes off really and leaves no glue on the paint.
