Hi...I have the owl noise coming from my car and is slowly getting worse. According to some of the posts on this site I understand that Seat dealers are aware of (apparently a common issue..possibly a boost pipe attached to the intercooler coming loose). Does anyone have a picture of where this is located on the engine, as I don't want to go to the dealer and pay money when I can check myself.

no pics im afraid but it is common and easily checked. just follow the pipes from the intercooler to the engine and check for oil vapour or looseness. the retaining clips are only bits of bent wire and are crap. most common blowouts are at the intercooler end on the drivers side. a new clip is only pence and a new oil seal a quid or two
