Mines a 12 plate 2.0 TSI with DSG, I've had it since 2014 on about 10k miles and now its nearly on 30k.
I had a wastegate rattle which got fixed from a part VW released that barely anybody seemed to know about. As far as problems go thats about it, only other thing is my upshift paddle has some issue that doesn't seem to exist anywhere else.
Oil usage is pretty high but its below the threshold in the manual.
I see somebody mentioned timing belt.. these are not the 2.0 TFSI engines that the MK5 GTI and phase 1 MK2 Leons had, it's different engine and its chain driven with more everything and its better!
The tensioner had issues on earlier engines but they fixed it on later cars, check the links in this thread and you'll find the build dates of the cars that were updated from factory.. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1447009
The only thing I dislike about it now is for some reason I find the seat/driving position very uncomfy. I probably just need to go to a Chiro and get my back cracked.
