Hi broke down going very slowly in a car park and now car will not start. Got it towed to a local garage. So far tank electric pump changed. Tandem mechanical pump changed. although they seemed to pump ok anyway. ECU sent away and came back fine. Auto electrician confirms immobilizer not the issue. All injectors reading same (correct) resistance and loom buzzed out OK. No faults have ever shown up when read via VAG com. Engine turns over on battery fine but not a glimmer of a fire up. All electrical earths are fine. All sensors seem to read OK.
Garage now lost for any more ideas and I am seriously out of pocket on an old car with 100,000 miles on the clock. Any constructive suggestions for any possible areas to look at would be gratefully received. There will come a point when I will have to scrap it as too expensive to through more money at.
Garage have come back and said its a possible injector issue. Has anyone had one injector go down and then it refuses to start?
